Field of Interest (FOI) - Culture and Society

GCC M.E.Ch.A. was established to promote higher education among Chicano and Latino/Hispanic students and help them in their pursuit of an undergraduate degree. We invite all students to learn about the Latino culture within a bilingual, bicultural environment. Students have an opportunity to explore complex public policy issues, which impact their lives. Students are encouraged to complement their undergraduate education by involvement in cultural and social issues, which are important to the Latino community.
