Dual Enrollment Registration Steps
Students must have access to technology and the internet to proceed.
First-time students to college and GCC begin here, all others move to Step 2.
First-time students to GCC must apply for admissions to GCC and submit AZ Driver's License/State ID online at admissions.maricopa.edu. When completing the application, students must select Glendale Community College and term/semester (Spring 2025).
Eligibility for in-state tuition is determined by submitting Acceptable Documents for Citizenship and having lived in Arizona for a minimum of one year.
If you have established citizenship but have not lived in Arizona for at least one year, parent/guardian may complete the online form DOMICILE AFFIDAVIT - Dependent Student and provide the required documents on behalf of their dependent student for consideration of the in-state tuition rate. The student will sign into the online form using their MEID@maricopa.edu and password. You may need to approve your login via the Duo application. This form should be submitted before the registration deadline.
Beginning May 23, 2023, all student applications will require Duo two-factor authentication when logging in to password-protected systems. If you have a smartphone, it is recommended that you use the Duo Mobile app to authenticate, as it offers the easiest and most secure method of two-factor authentication. If you are a student at one of the Maricopa Community Colleges and you have not yet signed up for Duo, please log in to the Student Center, where you will be prompted to set up two-factor authentication. Questions about Duo? Support is available by calling 1-888-994-4433.
Refer to your Dual Enrollment Class List for your college course(s) prerequisite(s). If testing is required, complete the free online EdReady Placement Assessment. Please note, you can increase your EdReady score by working on your Study Path until you obtain the minimum score required for your college course(s).
First-time Maricopa Community College Students who are NOT taking a placement assessment for their Dual Enrollment class will be required to demonstrate college readiness for the purpose of admissions. Students under the age of 18 (AR.2.2.2) will be required to demonstrate college readiness for the purpose of admissions. This can be accomplished by self-reporting an unweighted, High School GPA of 2.00 or greater. Students unable to self-report a high school GPA of 2.00, will take the free EdReady College Reading Placement Goal with a recommended score of 75 or higher.
For college courses with required college prerequisites, refer to the class list for the specific EdReady placement assessment or college course prerequisite required.
Dual Enrollment students will not be able to self-register in their Dual Enrollment classes. Students must submit the Dual Enrollment Next Steps form. Paper registration forms will NOT be accepted.
You will self-report your HS unweighted GPA within the Next Steps form.
Fall 2024 registration is now closed.
Monitor your Maricopa Student email for updates and status of your Dual Enrollment Next Steps form.
Pay tuition and fees to the college prior to the final payment deadline. Glendale Union High School and Willow Canyon High School students ONLY will pay at their high school bookstore. View Tuition & Fees Charts to determine the cost for your classes.
After your Next Steps form has been reviewed and approved, GCC will enroll you in your class(es). This may take up to 10 days. Once class/finance charges appear in your Student Center, payment options may be made online through the Student Center or by phone (623-845-3589 option 4). Official Payment Plan is available and established through the Student Center. This is per college, per semester (term). For more information on how to sign up for the Official Payment Plan, go to Payment Plan.
If you have additional classes with another college, make sure to pay through that college. This applies to the payment plan, too. If you have additional classes with other colleges, you will need to set up the payment plan for each college. Lastly, there is a $15 registration fee, per college, per semester (term).
Tuition Assistance is available for those who qualify. For more information, go to the Maricopa Grant application.
