CRRSAA Act Information and Request Form

Thank you for visiting the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), 2021 Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) II page. Here we will outline the process and requirements that have been put in place to determine financial need and distribute funds.

 

Funds Distribution

Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), 2021 has awarded GCC $4,150,918 for immediate distribution to eligible students. GCC has established a minimum award of $1,000 and a maximum award of up to $1,500.

 

Eligibility Requirements

The following are the federal eligibility requirements that students must meet when applying for CARES/CRRSAA HEERF funds.

  • Students must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours in the Spring 2021 (4212) term.
  • Students must be in a degree or certificate program that is eligible for Financial Aid.
  • Male students who are over the age of 18 must be registered with Selective Service.
  • A valid FAFSA with calculated expected family contribution (EFC) must be on file. Students must demonstrate exceptional need as demonstrated by the FAFSA.
  • Must be able to participate in Federal Student Aid Programs (this excludes DACA, undocumented, and international students).
  • Must have a High School completion (diploma), GED or homeschool certification.
  • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements during the eligible term receiving HEERF I or HEERF II grants.
  • Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident, Refugee or Visa type of “U” or “T.” Arizona law requires that students who are seeking state or federal aid provide verification of lawful presence. MCCCD Acceptable Documentation.
  • Cannot be in loan repayment default or grant overpayment
