Food Banks/Food Distribution

The Department of Economic Security (DES) Coordinated Hunger Relief Program partners with the regional food banks to provide food to individuals in need. To learn more and find a food bank near you, visit AZ DES Food Assistance or Arizona Food Bank Network.

Your local food bank can help you find food today, even if you need temporary help. They partner with food pantries, soup kitchens, and meal programs in your local community to give away free food.

If you are unable to travel and need support, St Mary's can deliver food to your home. Food deliveries are restricted to one delivery per week, per household (subject to change). Requests are not immediate as St Mary's requires at least a week's notice for food delivery.

Full Cart is a program of the nonprofit U.S. Hunger. Through their virtual food bank, they partner with generous donors to cover the cost of food and ship it directly to the front door of those in need.

Simply fill out their registration form to join their waiting list, wait for your box to be funded, and your food will be delivered after being notified via email/text.

Hot prepared meals are served at St. Vincent’s four dining rooms across the Valley. Each location has different hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food boxes can be picked up at the drive-thru distribution at the main campus north volunteer lot twice a month, or through a community-based food pantry. Each location serves certain neighborhoods within its service boundary.

Two times a month on a Wednesday the Glendale Elementary School District holds a drive-thru food distribution beginning at 8 am at the System of Care Campus. ID is required.

Meals provided Monday through Friday at the following times:

Through Lasagna Love’s neighbor-to-neighbor movement, they connect volunteer lasagna chefs who want to help with individuals and families in need, providing home-cooked lasagnas made with love. Whether someone is facing financial challenges, emotional overwhelm, medical issues, or any other hardship, Lasagna Love strives to provide relief, hope, and connection through the simple yet profound gesture of a warm meal.

Visit Market on the Move

All Arizona kids and teens (ages 18 and under) are eligible for free meals through the Summer Food Service Program at participating schools and community sites across Arizona during the summer break. Meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack and vary with each location. No applications or paperwork are needed. Children simply need to be present to receive their free, healthy meal. Farmers markets, mobile markets, CSAs, and farm stands are now doubling SNAP with no daily limit. Limit $20 per day at corner/grocery stores.

WIC provides supplemental healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support services, and referrals to health and social services to pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children under five.

At Borderlands’ P.O.W.W.O.W. events, you donate $15 (cash) to take home up to 70lbs of rescued produce. Participating in this program not only gets you an amazing haul of produce, but also allows Borderlands’ non-profit to empty their warehouse and rescue the next million pounds of produce!
