Online Tutoring on Discord
Discord is our platform of choice to host our online tutoring sessions, which we offer because we understand that it isn't always possible to make it to campus.
The steps you need to take to join Discord will depend on whether or not you already have a Discord account:
- If you have a Discord account, simply go to any of the tutoring web pages and click on the button that says, "Join Our Discord Server."
- If you do not have a Discord account, go to discord.com to create an account. (Note: Do not use your MEID or student ID number as your username, and make sure to claim your account with an email.) After you have created your account, you can go back to the tutoring web pages and click on the button that says, "Join Our Discord Server." Now you are in!
You can access Discord via your computer's browser or download the application. While it is unnecessary to download the application, we find that functionality is a bit better on the application.
