Guided Meditation

Faculty, staff and students

Join us Monday through Thursday from 1:30 to 2 p.m. in person at the Center for Learning (CL-36) for a guided meditation session.

All GCC students, staff, and faculty are welcome to make use of Mindfulness Space for the purposes of meditation, prayer, and relaxation during the Center for Learning’s operational hours.

Mindfulness is Beneficial

Students who practice mindfulness can be more successful at achieving their educational and life goals. Longitudinal studies indicate that mindfulness has several benefits:

  • Trains attention
  • Increases concentration
  • Reduces stress

In addition, research in Developmental Education has shown impressive results in student academic achievement when combined with mindfulness practices.
