Bio

Biography

Rebecca Rabideau received her MFA in Choreography and Performance from the State University of New York College at Brockport and her BS in Dance from Skidmore College. She has studied a variety of dance forms including Irish Step Dance and the Indian Classical Dance form Bharata Natyam, with a focused study on Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance.

Her training also includes summer dance intensives with Bill T. Jones, Trisha Brown, Lar Lubovitch, Mark Morris, and David Parsons, and study with Garth Fagan, Robert Battle, Adrienne Hawkins and Bebe Miller. A prolific choreographer, her work has been presented throughout New York and Arizona. She was Artistic Director and principal choreographer of Converge Dance Company from 2009-2012.

Rebecca has been teaching dance since the age of 17. Previous to her move to Arizona, she served as dance faculty at Nazareth College and Roberts Wesleyan College in New York and taught ballet to preprofessional students and adults. Rebecca is currently the Dance Program Director at Glendale Community College and the Artistic Director of Verve Dance Company.
