Bio

Biography

I have taught in the Maricopa County Community College District since 2001 and at GCC since 2002, as an adjunct and residential faculty. I earned a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in literature from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. I teach in all formats: face-to-face, online, and hybrid. I enjoy the variety of formats and the challenges that come with each one. Keeping up with the evolving state of education and exploring new methods to educate students to be prepared and successful in the work force is important to me.

Generally, I teach ENG 101 and ENG 102. I also teach ENH 110, ENH 251 Mythology online and face-to-face, and ENH 285 Contemporary Women's Literature face-to-face and online. I teach at Glendale Community College main campus usually, but I have and can teach at GCC North.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, swimming, and horseback riding. I enjoy watching sports, especially hockey and football.
