Thank you for looking at my profile. I'm glad that you want to know more about me.

I've always loved teaching, and I feel so honored to be teaching you here at Glendale Community College. Here are some details about my education and experience: B.A. in Secondary Education, Spanish and English from the University of Arizona M.Ed. in Reading from the University of Arizona Educational Leadership coursework from Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University, and the University of Phoenix Learning technology coursework from Western Governors University Composition and literature coursework from Southern New Hampshire University.

I've been a community college instructor since 1983 teaching Spanish, English, reading, and ESL. Here at GCC I teach reading, English, ESL, children's literature, and the EDU220 course for future teachers. I tutor in the Writing Center and often work with other teachers in collaborative activities. Of all the Maricopa colleges, I think GCC has the most interesting students. I'm glad to be here! I believe that a college education makes a difference in our quality of life, and I know what it's like to balance work, study, and caring for family members. We will help each other in our learning community; everyone WILL pass this class! My husband, son, and I like to hike and golf together. I take Pilates classes and I've just started swimming again. I'm always looking for good ideas to stay in shape with a busy schedule, so if you have any tips, please share them.
