Bio

Biography

Dr. Le'Brian Alexander Patrick-Rolando, a Louisiana native, currently serves as residential faculty in the Social Sciences Department and the Honor's Program at GCC. Additionally, he serves as the GCC Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, providing support at the college, throughout the MCCCD and the Glendale community. Dr. Patrick-Rolando also serves as one of the GCC Diversity Representatives on the MCCCD Diversity Advisory Council. He continues to work with our DEI Council and Diversity Committee.

Dr. Patrick-Rolando received his Bachelor's in Anthropology, Master's in Sociology and Women's and Gender Studies, and Doctorate in Sociology, Criminology, and Gender and Sexuality Studies from Louisiana State University. His primary area takes an intersectional approach to understanding the interplay of Gender, Sexuality, Race, Ethnicity, Inequality, and Criminology. Studying in these primary areas, Dr. Patrick-Rolando, specializes in qualitative research methodologies.

As a Sociologist, he understands and appreciates the diversity of the landscape of our world, the factors that impact our abilities to exercise free will and the necessity to understand our equitable journey as we travel towards equality and inclusion for all.
