Bio
Biography
My name is Jen Woodcock and I teach intermediate and advanced medical-surgical nursing within the GCC Nursing Program. I joined GCC in the Fall of 2019. I have been a Registered Nurse (R.N.) since 1998 and received my Associate's Degree in Nursing from Phoenix College. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2008, my Master's Degree in Nursing (M.S.N.) in 2012, and my Master's in Business Administration (M.B.A.) in 2018; all from Grand Canyon University.
In my nursing career, I have been a bedside R.N., primarily in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and a Nurse Leader in ICU, Perioperative, Perianesthesia, and Endoscopy Services. I first found my love of teaching when I was Adjunct Faculty teaching Block IV clinicals through the Mesa Community College Nursing Program and when I was an ICU Educator within a large healthcare system.
I am nationally certified as a Critical Care R.N. (C.C.R.N.). My objective as a Nursing Professor is to bring real-life high-acuity patient experiences into the classroom to build not only critical thinking but also clinical judgment.
