Anaiah Craig is a very driven and excited freshman at GCC. How excited? She opted to graduate early from Centennial High School so she could enroll at GCC for the spring 2020 semester.
“I didn’t consider any other colleges. I started in the Dual Enrollment program as a freshman in high school so it seemed a natural transition for me.” Commented Anaiah. She adds, “It was Laura, my advisor at the GCC North Campus who really clinched it for me. Laura was great and when she showed me the pathways map that would track the courses I would take right into ASU West, I was 100% convinced.”
How driven? She has already decided on pursuing a career in nutrition; her goal is to work for a children’s hospital or in elderly care. And as evidenced by her academic success, she is well on her way. In fact, her performance in the classroom and her drive have earned her a scholarship from the American Association of University Women.
Her excitement grows even stronger when Anaiah talks about all the clubs and organizations that GCC has to offer. “I want to get involved in clubs so I can get involved and meet more people,” she said. “My interests are travel, dance and writing. GCC has so many options to chose from I know I’ll find my place.”
Anaiah is happy to be a Gaucho and looking forward to making her future happen at GCC.
