Driver Operator
The Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Driver Operator program is designed for students who need (1) advanced training as professional firefighters, (2) preparation courses for career advancement opportunities in fire services, and/or (3) more comprehensive information about the role and function of an emergency vehicle driver/operator.
Details
This program is not eligible for Title IV Federal Financial Aid.
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all courses within the program.
- Perform the necessary math calculations to determine water supply and hydraulics and technical requirements of pumper trucks. (FSC118)
- Explain the process for handling hazardous material spills, leaks, fires, and explosions, and describe common hazardous materials carriers. (FSC111)
- Describe the principles of care, maintenance, and operation of fire apparatus and pumper trucks. (FSC117)
