Volunteer Month

Join us for Volunteer Month!

Throughout April, GCC Career Services invites community partners on campus to highlight their volunteer opportunities and provide mini-projects. Students, faculty and staff will have opportunities to gain some hands-on volunteer experience and provide assistance to the local community right here on the main campus. Students can win prizes for participating by using an e-passport. Our e-passport stamps will be available at each community partner station throughout the month for proof of participation.

How the E-Passport works

Every time you participate and complete a volunteer project, you can scan a unique QR code (or URL), which will be present at each event, to fill out a short form that serves as an e-passport ‘stamp’. You can get one e-passport ‘stamp’ for one category per event.

  • Individual: If you are a GCC student, each time you participate and fill out the e-passport ‘stamp’, you will be entered to win random prize drawings throughout April, and the top three individuals with the most participation will be eligible for a prize drawing. So, the more you participate in the mini-volunteer projects, the more likely you are to win a prize!

    Prizes include:

    • Apple iPad
    • Sonos Era 100 Speaker
    • Air Fryer

Thank you to our prize sponsor, GCC Student Life and Leadership.

  • Faculty or Staff:  If you are faculty or staff, please complete the e-passport ‘stamp’ to capture your attendance so we can recognize your participation

  • Extra Credit: If you are a student receiving extra credit, the e-passport will also serve as the location to include your instructor's name and the course for which you are receiving extra credit. This information will then be provided to your instructor.
